Podcasts are not as hard as they sound! If you can record a voice, and save a file you can create a podcast. What is Podcasting? Podcasting means making digital audio and video files available on the internet in such a way that others can use their computers to automatically download podcast you make available via websites or sites like Itunes. You don't need an I-Pod to listen to podcasts. Podcasts can be listened to from your computer or MP3 player.

Getting Started:

4 Steps to Podcast Production

  1. Plan: Storyboard and Write
  2. Produce: Record the pieces
  3. Edit -the pieces
  4. Publish: Share your creation

Plan: Storyboard/Write

Some suggestions:

Produce: Record the Pieces

Once you have written, record the segments. Realize that you can record each segment separately then stitch them together using your audio editing tool.

Chop: Edit the Pieces

This is where you will put your intro music, and exit music together with your show.

Publish Your Podcast

You should publish your audio file in a blog. Once placed in a blog, this audio would become "subscribable" via a Real Simple Syndication (RSS) feed.
